March 2nd R&B brunch was a great success and so much fun. The food was amazing! We ordered oxtails and curry goat along with mimosas. Come back for the next one to support this black owned, black women owned establishment!

Authentic Caribbean Soul Food with Amazing Flavor & Hospitality! I had an incredible experience at Janet & Ray’s Caribbean Soul Food! As someone who appreciates rich, flavorful food, this spot did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality, and the atmosphere had that perfect mix of comfort and soul. I ordered the fried chicken with mac and cheese, and it was hands down some of the best I’ve had. The chicken was crispy, perfectly seasoned, and juicy, while the mac and cheese was creamy and packed with flavor—exactly how soul food should be! To top it off, the banana pudding was next-level delicious, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Beyond the food, the service was great. The staff made me feel welcome and took the time to ensure everything was just right. You can tell they put love into both their cooking and their customer service. If you’re in Tucson and craving authentic Caribbean soul food, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

This place was fantastic! The food was excellent, the service was a little slow, but not their fault. It was super busy! This was my first time going, and I had the catfish dinner. The flavor was on point, and the greens were fantastic! I would highly recommend you stop in and try the food, you definitely won't be disappointed.

This is food so good and seasoned! The Mac n cheese, catfish, fried chicken, and potato salad is all great. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I’ll be back.

I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. I discovered Janet and Ray's by searching food near me . I was tired of the same old same old that I get every week and wanted to try something different. Janet and Ray's was perfect because I've actually been hungry for catfish but haven't had the time to fish lately. All the food was delicious! I got the fried catfish dinner with potato salad and festivals. I did get tartar sauce to go with the fried catfish but it had enough flavor on its own that it really didn't need it. I wasn't expecting the potato salad to be spicy and I've never had spicy potato salad before but I definitely will be getting it again. I had originally wanted collard greens to go with my fried catfish but they only have it on certain days so I will definitely come back to try other options and the collard greens. I know today was the day that they have oxtail or curry goat both are things that I have never tried but I will definitely try it on another day. I am also looking forward to trying the lobster mac and cheese. I'm always willing to try something new because you don't know if you like it or not if you don't try it.

Went for the first time tonight and will be back soon! Had the seafood Mac n cheese which was huge and amazing! Husband had the jerk chicken and the spice was perfect! Great service and wonderful people! We've back a few times since and I will give them a five star review every time! The catfish with the mac and cheese are my favorite but my husband tried the curry goat tonight and my goodness, it was to die for!

Jerk Chicken was really amazing, comes with two sides, I chose the Mac and cheese, Potato salad with plantains as an appetizer and a Kool Aid as a beverage. The sides were so good I was having a foodgasm lol. The waitress was very welcoming, food was exceptional, fast service and quite honestly, I have no idea who would have rated this place low, this is the most ideal restaurant and a gem in Tucson. I highly recommend going you will definitely get hooked.

The servers has always been so nice and the owner is the sweetest lady. Their jerk chicken is spicy but supper delicious. Some of the best food I’ve ever had as far as Jamaican food goes.
